MADOX JAMES

CUSTOM SHOE SIZE & DESIGN TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Handmade Custom Footwear

1. Handmade Construction

All footwear produced by Madox James is individually handcrafted. Due to the artisanal nature of our production process, precise measurements and clear customer communication are essential to achieving proper fit, comfort, and design accuracy.

2. Mandatory Fitting Trial

For all custom-size orders, a fitting trial is required.

  • The fitting trial allows assessment of fit, shape, and comfort based on the customer’s foot measurements.

  • This step is necessary because handmade lasting may differ slightly from standard machine-produced footwear.

3. Fitting Trial Process

  • A prototype or trial pair will be prepared for the fitting session.

  • During the fitting, any necessary adjustments related to size, shape, and comfort will be evaluated and documented.

  • Final production will begin only after the fitting trial has been reviewed and approved by the customer.

4. Adjustments After Fitting

  • All approved modifications identified during the fitting trial will be incorporated into the final handmade pair.

  • Once the fitting trial is approved, no major structural or design changes may be requested.

5. Production Timeline

Production of custom footwear begins only after the fitting trial has been completed and approved. Delivery timelines may vary depending on design complexity and craftsmanship requirements.

6. Non-Refundable Custom Orders

All custom-size and custom-design orders are non-refundable, as they are created specifically according to the customer’s measurements and approved specifications.

7. Customer Responsibility

  • Customers are responsible for attending all scheduled fitting trials.

  • Delays or failure to attend a fitting trial may result in extended production and delivery timelines.

  • Accurate and timely feedback during the fitting process is essential to achieving optimal results.

8. Final Comfort & Fit

While every effort is made to ensure ideal comfort and fit, handmade footwear may require a short break-in period depending on the materials used. Adjustments beyond minor refinements may not be possible once final production is completed
